Bond: The South Bank Show Wednesday 22 October 10:40pm - 11:40pm ITV1 London When a strapping Daniel Craig rose from the sea in Casino Royale in a fetching pair of blue swimming trunks, he left an awful lot of critics wiping the crumbs of humble pie from their lips. It was a sensational image and one that silenced everyone who'd ever doubted he'd make a terrific James Bond. In a cheerful interview with Melvyn Bragg, Craig guffaws at the fuss caused by his dripping torso: "I had no idea I'd be haunted by it for the rest of my life." Craig is candid as he discusses his doubts about taking on the role - "I thought it was a very nice joke . . . it just wasn't on the cards" - and his ideas for a new, energetic and very physical Bond. This South Bank Show special is packed with clips from the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace, and Bragg also speaks to the first screen 007, Sean Connery, who reveals that Ian Fleming didn't much care for him. "He said I was an 'over-developed stuntman'," says Connery === File Information === File Name: the.south.bank.show.s32e17.sw.pdtv.xvid-ftp.avi Duration: 00:46:39 (69,972 fr) File Size: 350 MB (or 359,129 KB or 367,748,418 bytes) bytes === Video Information === Video Codec: XviD Video Bitrate: 911 kb/s Resolution: 640x352 (1.82:1) [=20:11] frames Per Second: 25.000 fps === Audio Information === Audio Codec: 0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3 Audio Bitrate: 131 kb/s (65/ch, stereo) VBR LAME3.92 Frequency: 48000 Hz
